Playing test rugby against the Wallabies is tough, but at least the proud sons of Limerick and Cork on the Lions Tour haven’t forgotten what the real man’s game is (joking rugger fans, just joking).
From pictures of Irish rugby training camps in the recent past, it seems as if a few hurleys and sliotars are almost an essential part of the team’s equipment nowadays.
With Paddy ‘Rala’ O’Reilly helping out in that department with the Lions it was never going to be any different Down Under and Paul O’Connell, Simon Zebo, Conor Murray took the opportunity to have a bit of a puckaround during some downtime Down Under earlier today.
While they were at, they were happy to show giant Welsh winger George North the beauty of the small ball game and from the looks of things he was a willing learner, although Rala didn’t seem to think much of his efforts judging by the picture below.
Stick to the rugby for now George, we’re sure Davy Fitz would only be too delighted to show you the ropes in pre-season training around November time.
