The funniest piece of radio we’ve heard in a very long time…

There’s been big debate in Cork and Limerick in the last few days over the decision to hold this year’s Munster Senior Hurling Final in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. The issue here is about attendence, at the moment Pairc Ui Chaomh can hold somewhere between 32,000 and 37,000 people but if the game was moved to Semple Stadium around 50,000 could attend.

People on Leeside are happy for the game to go ahead as planned with that attendance plus it’s their turn to host the provincial decider but people in Limerick want the venue changed so more fans can go to the game.

The issue was brought up on Limerick’s Live95FM’s talk show Limerick Today earlier in the week. Host Joe Nash had a number of Limerick people on the show to debate it but in the interest of balance, he also brought on Cork’s 96FM sports reporter Finbarr McCarthy.

You could sense a bit of tension from the start and the brilliant exchange ends with McCarthy hanging up, great radio…
