Liverpool FC have banned The Sun.

The British tabloid will no longer be allowed cover games at Anfield, or attend the club's training ground at Melwood. Liverpool have taken the measures over The Sun's coverage of the Hillsborough disaster. 96 Liverpool supporters were unlawfully killed in at the ground in 1989. Four days later, The Sun ran a story, which has now been established to have been false, under the headline "The Truth." The Sun will also be denied access to interview Jurgen Klopp or Liverpool players. According to The Guardian, the decision was taken after meetings between club executives and families of those who died.
