There’s a lot to like about this performance…
Ireland were defeated by Australia in the second test of the International Rules on Saturday morning to mark the end of a disappointing series.
A strong second half showing was enough to nudge the result of Saturday’s game the Aussie way following some flared tempers at the half-time whistle.

However, one of our favourite moments of the series came prior to the game this morning when baritone Vincent O’Connor sang our national anthem before throw-in.
Have a listen to his performance below…
O’Connor has studied opera in London and has performed around Ireland and Australia during his career. It’s not his first time to sing the national anthem at the International Rules series either.
He’s done it a number of times before including an equally impressive performance in 2008…
