Not bad at all.

Many of us are probably guilty of putting on a few silly bets in our time.

Whether it’s on the World Cup, Cheltenham or the Eurovision, throwing on a little accumulator with the hopes of getting rich can be a good laugh.

And more often than not, you won’t get rich.

Even if you’ve put hours of research into the results of the past 12 months, it nearly always ends up being useless.

But one lucky punter with Paddy Power is in for the summer of a lifetime following his huge win at the horse races at Kempton on Monday.

The customer placed a €3 euro each way Lucky 15 bet (a combination of 15 different bets – 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and one fourfold accumulator in which one or more selection must be successful to have a return) and a €5 each way accumulator (all selections must be successful), staking a total of €100 (the €3 Each Way Lucky 15 cost €90, and €5 Each Way acca cost €10) on their four chosen horses to win at Kempton.

A hundred euro on four horses sounds a bit wild, but it sounds a lot better when you hear that he won €210,000 off the bet.

His selections were:

Kempton 19.50 – Age of Wisdom – 33/1

Kempton 20.20 – Epic Challenge – 7/1

Kempton 20.50 – Faadhel – 7/2

Kempton 21.20 – Moon Song – 16/1

Age of Wisdom was the biggest scare of the lot, winning by a nose, which is still quite a shock given that it was 33/1.

Maybe this mystery punter would be kind enough to give us a few tips next time.
