Whatever your opinion is of the man, you have to admit that this is pretty sound.
Brilliant though he undoubtedly is, Luis Suarez will always divide opinion because of a track record that is so well-known we hardly need to detail it here.
That said, it’s hard not to be impressed by a recent donation Suarez made back in his native Uruguay, with the Barcelona striker sending 500 Christmas baskets to the Pereira Rossell children’s hospital.
The baskets, which were given to children who have cancer, included gifts and Christmas food and drinks and were donated on behalf of Uruguayan foundation ‘Scremini Pérez’, a children’s cancer charity, who Suarez (who, we should point out, is not the man pictured below) represents as an ambassador.
