Lukaku’s first ever Manchester United goal celebration made football fans very angry

JOE

Lukaku has gotten a lot of abuse for this.

With Wayne Rooney and Romelu Lukaku swapping clubs,  it marked the end of one era and hopefully the beginning of another for Manchester United fans.

Rooney was heading back to Everton, his childhood team and when he arrived at Manchester United in 2004, his hat-trick debut against Fenerbahçe S.K. had everyone on their knees.

Similar to the man he is replacing at Old Trafford, Lukaku had an unreal debut on Sunday scoring two great goals and was unlucky not to bag himself a third.

The Theatre Of Dreams took to their feet when Lukaku got onto the end of a lovely through ball before smashing it off the left post and into the back of the net.

His start couldn’t have been better but as he raced for the corner flag to celebrate with his new team-mates and in front of his new fans, he did something that really got under the skin of a lot of football fans…

Something so small but yet something that will really grind your gears, especially if you are an Everton fan.
