You might not want to heed our advice, but when two Irish legends like Malcolm O’Kelly and Jerry Flannery talk rugby, you’d do well to listen. Here’s how their teams in The Irish Times Fantasy Rugby League are shaping up.

The former Irish internationals and friends of the site are back to add a little Munster v Leinster rivalry to The Irish Times Fantasy Rugby League this season and after Mal trampled all over Ian Evans over Mike McCarthy at the bottom of a ruck last time around, revenge is very much on Jerry’s mind ahead this time, although it is kept well hidden by that beautiful mop of hair of course.

The lads will be entering the JOE League as well as the general Irish Times league so as well as being able to compare your Fantasy Rugby abilities with friends and fellow JOE readers, you can pit your wits against two giants (literally in Mal’s case) of the Irish rugby world, although, on last year’s evidence, it won’t take a whole lot of effort to look good compared to those two.

Both Jerry and Mal have submitted their selections, both of which you can see below and by all means, feel free to poke fun at what they’ve come up with in the comments box below.

Here’s Malcolm’s dream team…

If you haven’t yet entered your team for the Irish Times Fantasy Rugby League, you can still do so by clicking the link, while we’ve also provided a few tips and some advice on how the stats might help you pick a winning team. As Mal and Jerry have done, you’ll want to enter the JOE League and the code for that is 51898.

The days until the start of the tournament and the deadline for entry into the league are counting down quickly, so act fast.

Best of luck!
