Manchester City have agreed a fee with Liverpool for the transfer of Raheem Sterling

That's a lot of money

And quite a whopping fee it is too.

Manchester City have agreed to pay a whopping £49 million for the transfer of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool, according to widespread reports this evening.

City have long been linked with the England winger and had two bids for the 20-year old rejected last month.

Sterling’s departure from Anfield became inevitable once he was withdrawn from the Liverpool squad selected to tour Australia, Malaysia and Thailand and provided he can agree personal terms and pass a medical, he will be a City player in the very near future.

The fee, of course, is a massive amount of money to pay for a player so young and this helps to put it into context…

Will he be worth it? We’ll just have to wait and see.
