Manny Pacquiao has apologised for making offensive comments about homosexuals

It’s not the most convincing apology you’ll ever see, mind.

Boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao has apologised for comments he made in a TV interview in which he suggested that homosexual people were worse than animals.

Pacquiao made the comments in an interview with TV5 as part of his Senate campaign, saying: “It’s common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female.”

Pacquiao later added: “If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.”

Understandably, Pacquiao’s comments prompted a furious reaction worldwide, leading the Pac-Man to issue a hasty apology on his Twitter account this morning.
