It’s not the most convincing apology you’ll ever see, mind.
Boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao has apologised for comments he made in a TV interview in which he suggested that homosexual people were worse than animals.
Pacquiao made the comments in an interview with TV5 as part of his Senate campaign, saying: "It's common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female."
Pacquiao later added: "If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals."
Understandably, Pacquiao’s comments prompted a furious reaction worldwide, leading the Pac-Man to issue a hasty apology on his Twitter account this morning.
