The son of former F1 star Jos will join Toro Rosso.

Max Verstappen, the 16-year-old son for former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen, will drive for the Toro Rosso team next season. Verstappen currently drives in Formula 3 but will step up to replace Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne. The youngest driver ever to start a Grand Prix is currently Jaime Alguersuari, who also drove for the first time for Toro Rosso in 2009, aged 19 years and 125 days.
