WATCH: Conor McGregor features in new Beats by Dre advert and dedicates it to Dublin

Dublin, this one is for you.

JOE

“Dublin, Ireland STAND UP!”

Beats by Dre has released a new advert which features our very own Conor McGregor and focuses on the fighter in his youth and in his adulthood and demonstrates his undevoted dedication to fighting.

McGregor is poised to take over the fight game when he faces Floyd Mayweather on August 26 and although he is already the face of MMA, that is not enough for the man from Crumlin.

If he gets the job done on Saturday, it will be one of the best sporting shocks in history. It’s not going to be an easy task but if it happens, it will be down to McGregor’s sheer determination and spirit.

His enormous self-belief comes in handy also and as shown in the new Beats by Dre advert, this stems from his childhood roots.

The video starts with a young McGregor walking the streets of Dublin with his crew and dreaming of a future in fighting.

It shows that even at a young age, he dreamed of being the best but even now given his fame and fortune, it’s important for him not to forget where he came from.

The end of the clip where he’s chatting with his friends is truly heartwarming.

We’ve also been told at JOE by Dónal Kearney, Director, Fingal Academy of Music, that:

“the singers in the Beats by Dre ad are Fingal Children’s Choir. They’re all aged 7-13 and are based in north Dublin. They’ve been working really hard and it’s so good they got the opportunity to record in Windmill Lane Recording Studios for the ad.”
