Conor McGregor given one month medical suspension following UFC 229 defeat

He can have no contact training for several weeks following his submission defeat.

Conor McGregor is on medical suspension until 6 November this year, and is to have no contact training until 28 October, following his submission defeat at UFC 229.

While the majority of the attention has since been paid to what occurred after the fight, with the Las Vegas Police Department releasing a statement following scenes of fans fighting, McGregor remained in relatively good spirits, going on to say that “We lost the match but won the battle.”

McGregor’s opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov is not named on the medical suspension list.

According to Forbes, the full list of the UFC 229 Medical Suspensions via Nevada State Athletic Commission is as follows:

Conor McGregor suspended until 6 Nov, no contact until 28 Oct.

Anthony Pettis must have nasal fracture cleared by doctor or no contest until 5 April 2019.

Dominick Reyes must have a left leg x-ray. If positive then he must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 5 April 2019.

Ovince Saint Preux suspended until 6 Dec, no contact until 21 Nov.

Derrick Lewis suspended until 6 Nov, no contact until 28 Oct.

Alexander Volkov suspended until 6 Dec, no contact until 21 Nov.

Vicente Luque suspended until 6 Nov, no contact until 28 Oct.

Jalin Turner must have his nasal fracture cleared by doctor or no contest until 5 April 2019. Turner’s minimum suspension is no contest until 6 Dec, no contact until 21 Nov.

Tonya Evinger suspended until 21 Nov, no contact until 6 Nov.

Scott Holtzman must have his right hand and his right foot x-rayed. If positive then he must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 5 April 2019. Holtzman’s minimum suspension is until 21 Nov, no contact 6 Nov, due to a forehead cut.

Alan Patrick must have a left orbital blow out fracture cleared by ENT doctor or ophthalmologist or no contest until 5 April 2019. Patrick’s minimum suspension is no contest until 6 Dec, no contact until 21 Nov.

Gray Maynard suspended until 21 Nov, no contact 6 Nov due to an eyebrow cut.

Ryan LaFlare suspended until 21 Nov, no contact 6 Nov due to a forehead cut.
