Platini will not be allowed to participate in Euro 2016 at all.
Michel Platini has stood down as the president of UEFA, in spite of his ban from football being reduced from six years to four.
According to
Sky Sports, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has shortened Platini's suspension from the game, after the legendary French footballer was originally banned by the FIFA disciplinary committee for eight years over the payment of £1.3million received with work involving former FIFA president, Sepp Blatter.
Platini was seeking the whole ban to be completely overturned, but with CAS taking measures to only reduce the ban by a couple of years, the 60-year-old will now step aside as the UEFA president.
Despite the upcoming European Championships taking place in France, Platini will now not be involved, either in business terms or otherwise.
