We agree with Mossy here, it was all about the assist.
In case you missed it, Diarmuid Connolly scored one of the finest individual goals you’ll ever see while playing for St. Vincent’s in the Dublin club championship last night, slicing through the St. Sylvester’s defence like a knife through better before finishing in the most nonchalant manner imaginable.
Connolly’ St. Vincent’s teammate Mossy Quinn was discussing the goal with former Munster centre James Downey, a Vincent’s man himself, on Twitter this morning and revealed that the goal actually came straight from the training ground while cheekily claiming that it really should be him getting all the credit…
.@jamesdowney23 That’s actually a set play called ‘get Dermo the ball & everyone get out of the way’! Sure was all about the assist…
