What else is new?
Gary and Paul O’Donovan did Ireland proud once more on Sunday, picking up silver in the Lightweight Double Sculls at the European Championships in Glasgow.
Despite a Trojan effort from the lads, they just lost out to the duo from Norway.

Of course, silver is still achievement enough for the BBC to do their thing and claim the O’Donovans as their own. As has been noted on social media, not only did the BBC slap a Union Jack next to Gary O’Donovan’s name, they also zoomed in to cut out the Irish emblem on O’Donovan’s own gear.
BBC sticking Union flags on everything. Here's Irish Rower, Ireland's Gary O'Donovan, getting interviewed after his Silver medal in the Double-Sculls for Ireland.

The O’Donovans are from Skibbereen in County Cork, but it’s a nice try BBC.
