OFFICIAL: Manchester United have unveiled their new third kit

Paul Moore

We’re reminded of a retro throwback jersey. Thoughts?

Regardless of the colour, there’s only two things that Manchester United fans probably care about regarding their new third-choice kit.

1) The crest. 2) The fact that it doesn’t have the logo for Premier League champions on it.

This season has been a frustrating one for Manchester United fans as positive results against Man City, Liverpool and Spurs were squandered by slip-ups against the so-called ‘smaller’ teams and to compound matters, their Champions League elimination by Seville was absolutely atrocious.

This being said, Mourinho’s men still have an FA Cup final to look forwards to but if they’re going to bring the title back to Old Trafford, it’s very likely that they’ll need to pick up a few points on the road while wearing this strip next season.

After seeing their new jersey, we’re instantly reminded of this retro number that they wore in 1992.

Anyways, here’s a look at what United will be wearing on their travels for next season.

The new jersey costs €89.95 and you can buy it from adidas now.

In terms of design inspiration, the shirt is based on the colours that United wore when they first won the European Cup by beating Benfica at Wembley in 1968.

What do you think?
