Whether it’s an in-joke or it’s because he’s the youngest looking member of the squad, Luke Fitzgerald got a good ribbing from his Leinster team-mates on Twitter tonight ahead of the release of the Leaving Cert results tomorrow.
For all of those who sat their Leaving Cert a couple of months back, tonight marks one of the most nervous nights of their young lives to date as they wait to find out results that, if nothing else, will determine where they’ll be looking for cheap accommodation and frequenting bars with the best deals on cheap pints for the next three or four years.
At such an important time, the thoughts of the Leinster players were with a team-mate going through that exact scenario at present, 25-year old Luke Fitzgerald, who if his team-mates are to be believed, will be sweating nervously tonight ahead of the big day tomorrow.
Plenty of Leinster players and even the great Ross O’Carroll Kelly got in on the act, but in fairness to Luke, as you’ll see below he was able to have a good laugh at the end of it all.
