Five Premier League teams make list of the 50 most valuable sports teams in the world

You can probably guess who made the cut.

Forbes released their annual list of the 50 most valuable sports teams in the world on Wednesday and, as if it was needed, it was a firm reminder of the ridiculous amount of money floating around professional sport.

It is mostly American franchises that dominate the top ten, with the Dallas Cowboys claiming top spot ahead of Real Madrid thanks to a $4billion valuation.

Real, who occupied the top spot for the last three years, are ranked in second place ahead of arch rivals Barcelona, with the New York Yankees and Manchester United making up the top five.

Further down the list, Arsenal are ranked in 23^rd place, Manchester City in 28^th, Chelsea in 36^th and Liverpool in 41^st place.
