Do much research Owen?
When Owen Hargreaves was a player, yes there was a time when he managed to pull himself away from the physio’s table, he earned himself a reputation as a tough tackling, energetic and fully committed midfielder.
It’s a shame to see that the two time Champions League winner hasn’t transferred these attributes to his role as a pundit for BT Sport though.
In an advert for the stations coverage of the upcoming Premier League season, he has picked Cesc Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Yaya Touré and Mesut Ozil as ones to watch.
To be honest, JOE has heard nothing about any of these players. We are guessing that they were all unused subs for Cameroon during the World Cup but that they were so good that they didn’t feature for fear of making the other players in the squad jealous.
After a quick Google search, apparently all five of these lads are pretty decent. JOE will definitely be keeping an eye out for these unproven talents, cheers Owen.
