What a man!
Paul O’Donovan, one half of the O’Donovan brothers who won silver in Rio earlier this month, has taken it up a notch and won gold at the World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam.
The brothers, who endeared themselves to the nation through a series of very charming interviews, narrowly missed out on gold in Brazil. In Rotterdam, Paul has finished first on his own – ahead of rowers from Hungary and Slovakia.
Twitter has been abuzz with congratulations for the 22-year-old from Cork, with plenty of punters referencing the young man’s famous “Pull like a dog” mantra.
He pulled like a dog and now he's a golden retriever! pic.twitter.com/kh7wsgn3H8
