None of the English sides won this week in the Champions League – bad news for them, good news for our sense of mischief.
Whatever about the football on show, which stank the place out, one Manchester City fan clearly isn’t too impressed with the grub on offer at Eastlands. So much so, in fact, that he brought his own large sliced pan and peanut butter into the stadium to make sure he stayed fed.

The quest for six continues for Liverpool, and will be continuing for another few years yet if the club’s start to the season is anything to go by. Check out this cringeworthy banner before Tuesday night’s defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

It wasn’t all bad for Liverpool, though, with Kolo Toure coming in for special praise after keeping the likes of James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Him quiet (pity about Benzema, though).

We’ll leave the final word to Piers Morgan, who used Anderlecht’s fightback against his beloved Arsenal to make Vincent Kompany an offer he couldn’t refuse. Or could, quite easily in fact.
