Man City have announced that manager Manuel Pellegrini will resign from his role at the end of this season. With deadline day proving to be a bit of a damp squib, the football world has been shaken awake this afternoon by the announcement which paves the way for a new manager to take the helm at the Etihad, namely Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola.
