Bernard Jackman tweeted this lovely picture this morning of Joe Schmidt in action for Manawatu against France in 1989.

It was during the French tour of New Zealand back in 1989 and although Schmidt scored a try, France ended up winning the match 28-23. Schmidt, of course, will be hoping to mastermind a victory over the same opposition in Paris tomorrow in a game that has the whole country on a knife-edge. We don't want to get too carried away, but already it seems as if there's a feeling of destiny about it. Here's hoping!
