PIC: A legendary former Liverpool striker has joined the Mayo For Sam brigade

If you’re a famous former football or a celebrity of any kind, you need to know that if you’re passing through Ireland West Airport in Knock it is compulsory to be pictured with some Mayo GAA merchandise.

If it says Mayo For Sam, as the legendary former Liverpool FC striker Ian Rush discovered, then all the better.

JOE reader Audrey Elliott took this picture today as Rushie landed in Ireland for, presumably, a few days in the west.

Not only that, but Una Healy from Thurles has also let her allegiance be known, although given the result of the semi-final we’re not sure too many of her fellow Tipp supporters will be too pleased with this.
