Sure it’s only Germany, be grand.

Ireland take on Germany at the Aviva Stadium this evening and considering they’re the World Champions and they beat us 6-1 on their last visit to Dublin, getting a result is a mammoth task. Martin O’Neill sprung a surprise or two with the first XI and although Stephen Ward has plenty of experience and loads of caps for Ireland, Newstalk’s Nathan Murphy provided a stat about him this season that is the cause for more than a little concern. https://twitter.com/nathanmurf/status/652179371701178368 Let’s hope it’s not one we have cause to revisit for the wrong reasons by the end of the night.
