Golf, bloody hell.
The European team probably don’t need much motivation to go out and kick Team America’s (F**k Yeah) ass in the Ryder Cup this weekend, but a few words from one of the most famous managers in the history of football no doubt did no harm at the same time.

Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson took a trip to Gleneagles last night to deliver some words of inspiration to Captain Paul McGinley and his team and Rory McIlroy for one was mighty impressed.
“I was just sitting there and looking up at him and I didn’t take my eyes off him,” McIlroy said.
“I was in this trance just listening to everything that he was saying and I’m thinking, this is all the stuff that he’s probably said to Manchester United teams over the years.”
McIlroy says that now, but we wouldn’t like to be in his shoes if he misses an easy putt on the first green on Friday and Fergie gets the hairdryer out.
Don’t let it happen Rory.
