Pic: Antonio Valencia’s eye was in some state after the Man United game last night

That’s going to leave some shiner for the next couple of weeks.

Valencia looked as If he would have to come off such was the extent of the swelling around his eye following a clash of heads early on during Man United’s victory over Olympiacos last night, but he battled on until being withdrawn shortly before the finish, Close-up shots of Valencia’s eye as he came off the pitch revealed the extent of the injury at the time, but it appeared to have deteriorated significantly after the match, as is illustrated by the dressing room selfie he posted on his Twitter account late last night.

Considering that his right eye is practically completely closed his co-ordination might not be the best for the next couple of days, but after a badly needed result last night, at least he'll feel it was worth it.
