Aroldis Chapman needed surgery after being hit in the face with a baseball during a game last week. This is what they did to repair the damage.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman is a very lucky man. On Wednesday he was hit in the face with a baseball driven right back at him, and he ended up with fractures above his left eye and nose. A quick trip to hospital saw a metal plate or two being put into his face and once he recovered from the op, he posted the below picture on Instagram.
Luckily, Chapman is fine and will make a full recovery.
