He’s got you there Brian.
It has often unfairly cast a shadow over his abilities as a player, but Donncha O’Callaghan’s reputation as one of the funniest characters in Irish rugby is well-established at this stage.
He lived up to it by engaging in some good natured Twitter slagging with his old mucker Brian O’Driscoll tonight and it’s definitely a victory for Munster on this occasion.
It started when Clongowes College tweeted a picture of the Elements book club this afternoon, with eight of the nine members reading O’Driscoll’s recently released autobiography, The Test, and only one reading O’Callaghan’s memoirs from a few years back.
Elements book club started again this term, unfortunately one lad didn’t get the memo. @BrianODriscoll @docallaghan4 pic.twitter.com/oAjo4WUZtU

BOD suggested that this was because Donncha’s book was all the young lad could afford, but O’Callaghan’s alternative explanation for what was actually going on was priceless.
@clongowes @docallaghan4 ah he must have only had 3.99 of his pocket money left! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
