PIC: Brian O’Driscoll has shared a very special souvenir from that famous game against England in Croke Park

February 24, 2007 will never be forgotten.

One of the most significant moments in Irish history, let alone our country’s sporting folklore, was when Ireland and England met at Croke Park in the Six Nations back in 2007.

In fact, we recently compiled a collection of our favourite renditions of well known national anthems, inspired solely by that very famous day.

The significance of the occasion has never been lost on the players, so Brian O’Driscoll’s post this afternoon comes as no great surprise.

He may not be the sentimental type of character, but even BOD was caught up by this moment in time.

Take a look.

It’s not going well for Ireland on the pitch at the moment, but the above is a moment we can always be proud of.
