In the heat of the moment, anything can happen.
John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer has apologised for swearing on live television in an interview broadcast immediately after Tipperary’s victory over Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Final.
Moments after the final whistle had blown, in an interview with RTÉ, a clearly ecstatic O’Dwyer roared: “We proved our doubters wrong today, we’re champions of fu**ing Ireland!”

Although most were inclined to forgive ‘Bubbles’ his slip of the tongue given the enormity of Tipperary’s achievement and the emotion that comes with it, there were a few dissenting voices at the use of foul language on television.
O’Dwyer issued an apology on Twitter on Monday morning and while doing so, he made reference to another X-rated interview recently broadcast on RTÉ by Michael Conlan in the aftermath of his highly controversial defeat in the Olympic Games last month.
