If anyone deserves a relaxing Christmas break then it’s Conor McGregor after ‘The Notorious’ completed a memorable 2015 with a 13 second knockout of Jose Aldo at UFC 194 to become the undisputed featherweight champion.

There’s no doubt that McGregor’s desire and mind games had the Brazilian on the edge going into the fight, but after all the hype, McGregor claimed the sweetest thing, the title belt.

There’s going to be a special sort of homecoming and a beautiful day for the Dubliner with a well earned public reception, that party could end up being absolutely out of control, but ‘The Notorious’ has already met one of Ireland’s most famous musicians as he makes his way home for Christmas.

Sometimes life works in mysterious ways as seen by this snap that the champ posted on Facebook with U2’s lead guitarist, The Edge.
