Conor McGregor is the highest athlete in mixed martial arts.
The Dubliner was named 85th on the list of the world’s highest paid athletes, having taken in a reported $22m from his purses over the last year.
No MMA fighter has appeared on the Top 100 list in recent years but McGregor’s $18m in salary and $4m in endorsements sees the Crumlin man crowned Ireland’s richest athlete.

Topping the Forbes list was Cristiano Ronaldo, who made a reported $88 million between his salary and his endorsement deals.
