No sign of nerves from the champ that’s for sure.
The UFC this evening confirmed that Conor McGregor will attempt to become the UFC Lightweight Champion when he takes on the man currently wearing the belt, Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos, at UFC 197 on March 5.
It would be a significant achievement for The Notorious as not only would he become only the third fighter in the UFC to become champion in two divisions, he would become the first to hold two belts simultaneously.
It would be enough to make most people nervous but McGregor is not most people and true to form, he has already predicted victory with a pretty amusing Facebook post.

Amusing to all, that is, except Rafael dos Anjos and his fans as the Brazilian is labelled ‘a traitor to his people’ and the ‘American Gringo’.
Oh, and McGregor has vowed to behead him too.
The build up to this one is going to be a lot of fun, isn’t it?
