Someone must have unplugged the extension cord…

Tyrone and Monaghan were forced to stop play during the opening game of their Division One Allianz Football league campaign tonight in Omagh.

Why? Because the floodlights only went and bloody failed…

Healy-Light-2

According to our JOE Bros over at SportsJOE.ie: “Tyrone were on the attack at the time as they trailed Monaghan by 0-8 to 0-7 when the Healy Park pitch was plunged into darkness.

“The game was delayed by almost 20 minutes as officials struggled to restore power to the lights for the field.”

Thankfully, once the lights came back on the game resumed and Monaghan, who trailed Tyrone by 0-02 to 0-07 in the first half, managed to win comfortably with a score of 1-13 to 0-09.
