Pic: How cold was it in Green Bay last night? Well this guy’s beer was frozen solid

Say what you like about the FBD League but at least this wouldn’t happen…

If you have been keeping an eye on the NFL you will have known that the big story heading into Wildcard Weekend was the forecast of sub zero temperatures for Green Bay. The Packers were due to host San Francisco on Sunday night at Lambeau Field and the meterologists were predicting the mercury to dip well below zero.

In the end the game was played in -15 Celsius, with a wind chill that made it feel much colder and everyone, from officials to players to the poor fans in the stands were wrapped up in layers and layers of clothing to keep the misery at bay.

But they forgot about the beer, and as the below picture shows, one poor punter’s beverage froze solid as he watched the game.

Sadly for the home fans, the result didn’t go their way either, as a last-second field goal saw the 49ers home 23-20, dumping the Packers out of the race for the Super Bowl. At least they can stay at home and drink liquid, rather than frozen, beer for the rest of the post-season.
