Pic: Irish Liverpool fan makes Balotelli pledge on Twitter; fails to honour it despite close to 10,000 retweets

If you’re going to talk the talk, surely you have to walk the walk too

It’s probably better for everyone’s sakes that he chose not to go through with it.

Mario Balotelli’s late winner for Liverpool against Spurs last night took a lot of people by surprise.

Hell, it’s been so long since the man scored a goal that he was probably surprised himself.

Prior to last night, a lot of Liverpool fans had given up hope on Balotelli doing anything productive during his time at Anfield.

So convinced was one Liverpool fan, in fact, that he made a rather disgusting pledge about what he’d do if Balotelli was to score the winner after coming on.

When Balotelli did hit the net, the tweet of the fan in question was retweeted so frequently that his Twitter handle was trending in Ireland last night after almost 10,000 retweets.

If you go to his account, you’ll see his explanation for why he didn’t, pardon the disgusting pun, follow through, on his pledge (it’s a little NSFW to include here).

Needless to say, it should stop him from making such risky promises in the future.
