Pic: Irish man devised a clever way of keeping his beer cold at the Tour De France

This is definitely the Irish corner

This is definitely the Irish corner.

The Tour de France can be a tiring experience for cyclists and spectators alike because the warm conditions and difficult mountainous terrain can sap your energy.

Unlike the victorious Chris Froome, Westmeath man Neville Casserly was definitely allowed to partake in a few beers over the duration of the event but he ran into the eternal dilemma, how do you keep your beer cold in the hot sun?

Like any true sauce warrior, Neville wasn’t going to be deterred in his quest for a thirst quenching drink as he managed to let nature take it’s course.

“It was the only way I had to keep my beer cold in 30 degree heat!” Neville told us.

“It was a stream that ran the whole way down near the Irish corner and it did the trick!”
