Happy birthday Chippy.
These days we know Liam Brady best as an occasionally cranky but mostly insightful and entertaining pundit on RTE, but football fans of a certain generation still remember the unbelievable player he was in his prime.
It’s not just in Ireland either.
Brady is still worshipped by Arsenal fans and he was one of the few players who successfully moved from England to Italy, spending the best part of the 1980s with Juventus, Sampdoria, Inter and Ascoli.
It was in Turin where he had his most productive spell, winning two titles with Juve in 1981 and 1982 and he’s obviously still fondly remembered at the home of the reigning Serie A Champions.
He hasn’t aged a bit.
Hat-tip to Killian Cassoni for the heads up on this one
