Earlier this year, Kilkenny GAA lost one of its greatest servants when Martin Treacy of the Bennettsbridge club passed away.

Treacy won an All-Ireland title with the Cats back in the 1960s while his younger brother Jim also captained the county to All-Ireland success in 1967, one of six All-Ireland titles he won during a distinguished career in black and amber.

Martin remained heavily involved with the Bennettsbridge club after his playing days but sadly passed away in June of this year and after Bennettsbridge won the Junior Hurling Final in Nowlan Park on Sunday, the club paid their respects with a couple of touching photographs at his graveside.

What a lovely touch and a fitting tribute to his memory.

Hat-tip to Damien Grimes for the heads up on this one
