James McClean must already be sick to death of November.
The Irish footballer comes in for endless abuse every winter for his refusal to wear a poppy commemorating British soldiers, a conviction that isn’t too hard to understand given that he grew up in an area where British soldiers were responsible for such atrocities as Bloody Sunday.
His West Brom side will face off against champions Leicester City this afternoon, and the Foxes surely knew what they were doing when they decided to cut a massive poppy into their pitch ahead of kick-off.
McClean is known to be an aggressive player who loves a good yellow card challenge, which is presumably exactly what Leicester are trying to get out of him today. Let’s hope he gets himself on the scoresheet instead.

Haha, I've just realised who Leicester are playing today. Get your money on McClean to score the first goal.
