Professional footballers these days don’t socialise like the old boys used to, but it would appear as if the practise of celebrating a hard-earned victory with a beer or two isn’t dead just yet.
Liverpool came away from a tricky-looking trip to Sunderland today with all three points after Lazar Markovic’s first-half goal and judging from Dejan Lovren’s Instagram post and the box of Tiger in the corner, the Reds players celebrated with a few well-earned beers on the way home.
Not surprisingly, Lovren didn’t feel the need to post the inevitable picture of the entire Liverpool squad stopping at the side of the M62 to drain the spuds shortly afterwards.
