Champions League holders Barcelona were knocked out by Atletico Madrid for the second time in three years as Diego Simeone's men defended heroically and took their chances against the Catalan giants at the Vicente Calderon. Atleti's back-four was once again lead by the outstanding Diego Godin as they somehow managed to keep Neymar, Messi and Suarez quiet. A brace from Antoine Griezmann sent Barca packing as Atleti ran out 3-2 winners on aggregate.
Talismanic defender Godin might be feeling a bit sore this morning though after a stray elbow from his international teammate caught him right in the eye-socket but we're sure that he doesn't mind, especially with a Champions League semi-final against Bayern, Real Madrid or Man City to look forward to.
Take a look.
