Normally when you're a fan taking in a ball game on the sidelines you're not at the mercy of imminent danger... well, we did say normally.
NPR has reported the bizarre incident which occurred during a baseball game in America between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Atlanta Braves, where a young supporter very nearly got seriously injured.
One of the players' bats went loose and flying through the air, heading directly for the boy, until an older fan intervened with cat-like, and potentially life-saving, reflexes.

Judging by
