At 6’10” we know Giannis Antetokounmpo has big hands, but when he compares them to a Canadian journalist, you see just how enormous they are.
A few months back we brought you a
screen grab of Milwaukee Bucks rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo with his hand resting on his face that made his hand look ridiculously big. Then we managed to find an image of the 19-year-old getting his hand measured, with the final tally from wrist to tip of middle finger coming in at 25cms, a measurement that confirmed he was indeed blessed with enormous paws, a gift in his line of work.
Now a Canadian NBA journalist Payal Doshi has posted a picture she had taken when she met Antetokounmpo recently and the comparison between their hands is frankly astonishing.
According to the Bucks, Antetokounmpo has grown almost five centimetres since he was drafted and he has already had to get lots of new training gear to fit him.
The Greek national of Nigerian origin might be slightly cruelly called ‘The Greek Freak’ but his stats so far this season are not too shabby (6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 45.6 per cent shooting, 23.1 minutes per game) so if he continues to improve we will soon be talking about his incredible numbers, not his incredible body.
