Not everyone was convinced.
Louis van Gaal is having a tough enough time of it at Manchester United right now without his players joining the ever-growing band of critics.
Some people on Twitter thought that Nick Powell had jumped on the anti-LVG bandwagon this morning after he ‘liked’ a tweet from Sky Sports which detailed the views of Sky Sports pundit Tony Cottee, who criticised Van Gaal’s spending during his tenure at Old Trafford.

Powell didn’t take long to clarify matters on Twitter, claiming that he had accidentally liked the tweet while scrolling through his Twitter feed. Van Gaal himself wouldn’t have taken kindly to most of the responses.
Didn't even know I liked that post, did not mean to. I was just scrolling down my news feed.

In fairness to Powell, he was the man brought on for Juan Mata in a must-win Champions League game having not played for the Manchester United first team in well over a year, so he seems like an unlikely candidate to be criticising the manager.
He might be staying off the Twitter for a while after this in any case.
