Hindsight is a wonderful thing…
Shane Lowry may not be heading home with the Green Jacket from the 2016 Masters in Augusta, but he’ll most certainly be having some party as he no doubt celebrates nailing this superb hole-in-one on the 16th hole.
He won’t be the only one celebrating mind you, as the patrons of Giltraps Pub in Lowry’s home county of Offaly are raising a FREE pint to honour the golfer’s great shot.
That’s because the pub in question put on the very special offer you see below, over a week before Lowry landed his wonder-shot.

Speaking to JOE, John Clendennen said that the offer was “100% real” and that “25 good drinkers” were able to take advantage of the offer.
But what about the fact that the offer was for Saturday 9 April and not Sunday 10 April?
John went on, it’s “not every day we have an Offaly man at The Masters so the pub is happy to honour the deal!”
