PIC: One JOE reader’s very handy travel guide is a must for anyone thinking about going to Euro 2016

This is the type of spreadsheet we like to see.

As soon as the final whistle blew in the Aviva Stadium last Monday night, Irish fans throughout the country tried to figure out a way to make sure they’d be cheering on the Boys in Green in France next summer. Things will become a little clearer when the draw is made on December 12, at which point we’ll know who Ireland will go up against and the match venues we’ll be playing in throughout the tournament. Ahead of the draw, JOE reader Ronan Collins has drawn up a very handy spreadsheet detailing the fixtures of the game in every group, the venues they’ll take place in and the travelling time between each venue. Based on the distances between those venues, Ronan has also added a helpful guide as to whether fans thinking of travelling should fly to France or should buy/hire/borrow/steal a campervan and take the ferry instead in categories titled 'Campervan' 'On the fence hiy' or 'Fly ta f**k'. In case you can't read the spreadsheet above, here's a quick summary:

Group A

Distance: 434km Travelling time: 4 hours, 29 minutes Verdict: Campervan

Group B

Distance: 1,556km Travelling time: 14 hours, 27 minutes Verdict: Fly ta f**k

Group C

Distance: 937km Travelling time: 8hours, 42 minutes Verdict: Fly ta f**k

Group D

Distance: 1,058km Travelling time: 10 hours, 1 minute Verdict: Campervan

Group E

Distance: 1,242km Travelling time: 11 hours, 39 minutes Verdict: On the fence hiy

Group F

Distance: 959km Travelling time: 10 hours, 21 minutes Verdict: Fly ta f**k Flying, for example, sounds a lot more appealing than two seven-hour spins between Bordeaux and Lille and Lille and St.Etienne if we get drawn in Group B. Not only that, but Ronan has also allotted a considerable amount of time for ‘pints’ no matter what way the draw goes next month, an important consideration for all fans heading to the tournament If anyone deserves to be at the Euros next summer, it’s this guy.
