BREAKING NEWS: Irish people are not able to handle the sun without sunblock… This poor lad in Donegal proved it this morning and Clare under-21 footballer David Collins, the brother of Clare dual stars Podge and Sean, has confirmed the fact this afternoon. Like nearly every Irish college student, David is on a J1 in the USA at the moment (he’s in Chicago) and wasn’t really prepared for what the weather would bring.
When we saw this picture, every member of the JOE team oohed and aahed and winced away because we feel your pain David, we’ve been there. Falling asleep on a lounger/on the beach or just being a bit of an eejit and not putting on sunblock, yep we’ve done it too.
This looks especially bad though so our advice for you David is to load up on the water, the aloe vera, the natural yoghurt, the damp towels and whatever else because it’s a long road back from there buddy…
